Gemstar is committed to responsible and ethical development of the Menzies Emerald Project, with integrity, safety and responsible sourcing principles intended to guide each stage of exploration, development and future operations.

Community

Gemstar intends to prioritise local employment, regional contractors and suppliers where practical, supporting community participation and building long-term relationships within the Menzies and Goldfields region.

Environment

Project activities are intended to minimise unnecessary land disturbance, with progressive rehabilitation of disturbed areas and compliance with applicable Western Australian environmental requirements. Planned solar power and battery storage are intended to reduce reliance on diesel-generated electricity and lower operational emissions.

Transparency

Gemstar intends to develop clear provenance and traceability processes for Menzies emeralds, supported by independent gemmological evaluation, certification and transparent product disclosure from mine to market.
